Suzanne Girard Foote

Suzanne Girard Foote is a seasoned media relations professional with extensive experience working with travel and tourism media around the world. Her passion is building relationships with travel media and working with them to find the right story.
Suzanne began her career as manager, tour and travel for Tourism Victoria, followed by a stint at the renowned Fairmont Empress as director, public relations and a position at Tourism British Columbia as manager, travel media relations. She relocated to New York City in 2001.
Working from her Upper West Side apartment in Manhattan, Suzanne is Tartan Group’s director, travel and tourism communications and is primarily responsible for media relations in the Eastern US with a focus on Tartan Group’s resort destination clients in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Her New York location, long-time tourism media relationships and experience in understanding their needs gives Tartan Group an edge in this competitive and important media market.
Suzanne holds a BA in History from the University of Victoria.
An advocate for sustainable tourism with a love of learning through travel, Suzanne and her family enjoy living in New York City while still making time to head home to Canada’s West Coast.
